Despite all that, like I said, there's a game variation of COD4 that is upcoming, and will include a very well worked on Zombie system. That's why it's so sad that we can't have COOP in COD4 with proper AI. But it's not the same as handling the already crafted AI systems in SP. That itself is quite impressive and I do recognize and admire their work. They're just scripted entities that are coded to do one specific thing which is act like zombies as best as they can. The ROTU Zombies are based on script entitles, they don't use cover, they don't shoot their weapon and chose their targets and use the complex movement animation systems that the game has. SP has a very stable and functioning AI system with lots of complex behaviours implemented. Now, COD4 SP and MP work very differently when it comes to NPCs. I could easily do a replica of WAW's zombie mode but like you understand there are other things in the way. I focus more on mission and level design or just survival gameplay. I personally don't get really inspired from zombie modding, and zombie map making, so it's not something you'll see me doing anytime soon. Well, there are a couple of Zombie modes for COD4 Singleplayer, and there is an upcoming one too. I know you're working on some other projects now but is there even a chance of this happening in the future? ROTU was fun and worked but it's time we got something proper going. None of these had good singleplayer setups and were all centered around being online/serverside only aside from the very first ROTU release so seeing a fully featured singleplayer mod or co-op would be amazing.īased on what I've seen you do I would love to see you do a NZ gamemode with all the proper elements such as working and animated barricades, debris, weapons on the wall, etc but centered around modern day/COD4 universe such as the weapons and YES, we would definitely keep the ROTU zombies but put them on all of the original animations and sounds. Have you ever considered remaking ROTU or rather doing a proper Nazi Zombies gamemode in Call of Duty 4, I know ROTU exists but it's far from NZ and it seems no developer out there is continuing development on the gamemode even including ROTU-R. MP Bot's are way too limited and buggy compared to Singleplayer NPCs so we can't use MP systems to add more players. Unfortunately Call of Duty 4 Singleplayer can not support 2 players in, and Singleplayer NPCs can't work on Multiplayer. It was already too hard so far as I was digging into the depths of Call of Duty 4 systems that I didn't fully comprehend and honestly I was very unfamiliar with, even with all the knowledge I have collected so far during the eight years of experience on that game. I am trying as hard as I can to create a dynamic and glitch-less system that allows the mode to be used in any map with little effort. The key element of this project is that I plan to release it as OPEN SOURCE so any map maker can use the assets to make his own survival maps! Also experienced modders can make adjustments, improvements or implementations of their preference to make the mode look more like mw3 or take what I created and expand it in many creative and fun ways I couldn't. PLAYABLE and OPEN SOURCE files will be released as soon as I have a stable and functional version of the Survival Mode. This means that in the first version of the mode, it will only have weapons, equipment and support items that are available in Call of Duty 4 singleplayer. The initial purpose of the mod is to create a basic Survival mode like MW3 with Call of Duty 4 assets in Singleplayer. Call of Duty 4 Survival Mode Prototype is an experimental mode for Call of Duty 4 Singleplayer that aims to simulate Modern Warfare 3 Survival Mode mechanics on Call of Duty 4.
